‘We seek to manage competing demands and uses of space, negotiating to establish a mutually agreeable way forward between all parties.’
I am a Associate Town Planner with experience leading a variety of projects. I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and commenced my planning career at a planning consultancy in Oxfordshire. I joined P&DG in the Midlands office in April 2016, achieving Chartered Town Planner status following election to the RTPI in the same month.
I was brought up in the land and property industry so rather than rebelling, I joined in! My family background helped develop my interest in space, place, and the social impacts of development which attracted me to planning. Residential and education development are my favourite sectors, but the variety of sectors and clients we have at P&DG keeps me interested and driven. If I could change one thing about planning, it would be the political presence.
I love musical theatre, wild nights out with friends and binge-watching reality tv, crime dramas and British comedy series. I do not drink tea or coffee, which can be sometimes awkward in meetings. I am ambitious and always like to succeed!
Keep up to date with changes to the planning system plus our case studies, news & events.
