As one of the Directors of P&DG, whilst contributing to the management and marketing of the business, the majority of my time is spent delivering client projects.
Following reading Geography at Cambridge, I was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship, allowing me to secure a master’s degree in Planning from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
Having now worked ‘in the trade’ for over two decades, I am a Chartered Town Planner with experience in the public and private sectors, both in the UK and overseas.
After an initial grounding in local authority development control, I moved to the private sector where my drive for high standards, strong personal commitment and search for positive outcomes could more easily flourish.
My advice is bespoke and focused. I support a diverse range of clients across all sectors, with particular expertise in residential development.
It is always satisfying to work with clients to navigate pathways through the complexities of the planning system, securing enhanced development values, flexibility, managing risk and defending against unwanted or unwarranted proposals.
P&DG is very much a team effort; it’s always rewarding to share my experience and expertise with colleagues, taking pride in helping the next generation to develop professionally, and in turn learning from others to improve my own skill set, and through that best meet our clients’ needs.
Keep up to date with changes to the planning system plus our case studies, news & events.
