The Trent Bridge Care Home project showcases P&DG’s ability to recognise potential in unexpected places. We identified a former car park as an ideal location for a new care facility, addressing the growing need for high-quality elderly care in the area.
Our team successfully navigated the planning process, securing permission to convert the site into a 72-bedroom care home. The project faced unique challenges, including the need to transform a utilitarian space into a nurturing environment suitable for elderly residents.
Key features of the development include:
-72 comfortable bedrooms
–Staff and visitor car park
–Dedicated cycle storage
–Purpose-built ambulance drop-off area
–Dementia-friendly design
–A cafe
–Hair salon
–Wellbeing spaces, including beautifully landscaped grounds
Throughout the planning process, we worked closely with local stakeholders to ensure the development would complement the surrounding area and meet community needs. Our approach focused on creating a facility that not only provides excellent care but also enhances the local built environment.
The successful completion of Trent Bridge Care Home which opened it’s doors in September 2024, demonstrates P&DG’s commitment to sustainable urban development and our expertise in the care sector. By repurposing an underutilised space, we’ve helped create a valuable community asset that will serve generations to come.
The transformation of this site from a simple car park to a sophisticated care facility exemplifies our commitment to innovative urban planning. Trent Bridge Care Home is a testament to what can be achieved when vision meets careful planning
